Sussex Outreach Support (SOS) is developing a vibrant hub within the Battle Station Masters House, using the space to bring people together and strengthen local networks of support. With access to rooms in this historic building and a growing partnership with nearby businesses like the on-site coffee shop and Folk and Fable, SOS is creating an inviting, stigma-free environment where community connections can thrive.
The focus is on building up non-clinical, community-led activities that reflect the strengths and interests of local people—such as creative workshops, social gatherings, and informal advice sessions. By working with trusted local connectors and valuing what already exists, SOS is fostering collaboration and shaping a model of support that is flexible, people-centred, and sustainable.
The Station Masters House has the potential to become a place where everyone feels welcome and where ideas, relationships, and community resilience can grow.
Folk and Fable are still working on sorting the lease and preparing the building for community use. When they are up and running, SOS intend to be delivering our services from Battle Station Masters House every Thursday.
